This project is for an internship project at Uluwatu Balinese Lace, a handmade lace company in Bali otherwise called as the 'Island of Gods'. The company tries to balance serene lifestyle with Balinese ethos. They nurture a living craft that is a source of livelihood for a few hundred households. All their production from start to finished are locally sourced, with local workers from Tabanan, Bali. A very sustainable company that promotes high quality slow fashion. 

Final 3D Design:

The process starts with design sketches of the products and pattern that has been approved. 

Afterwards, the beautiful designs are turned into patterns that are ready to go into their production line, which consists of local handcrafters from Tabanan

Overall, the process is quite different than those of fast-fashion as in this particular company, designers are more hands-on in ensuring the quality of design and end-product.
